The house belonged to an art historian and a professor at Ewha Womans University, called ‘Hongnam Kim’. This traditional house is located in Southern Korea. Inspired by the house in the form of Hanok, homeowners want a traditional wooden structure dating back to the Joseon dynasty in 1392, but he would like to see in a mixture of traditional and modern. Divided into two parts: a anchae (home owner) and sarangchae (a house). Modern bathroom, kitchen equipment and furniture look fabulous on a background of traditional walls and wooden doors. (more…)

Agustín Landa Ruiloba & Rolando Martínez Rodríguez has designed Bravo House with north-south oriented field sites allow the front of the house to go directly to the north, turned to look into the Garza Garcia, Valle Oriente and Loma Larga. Bravo House is located in San Pedro Garza García, México. This house uses the best materials and the structure of the building almost in its totality an open concrete. This building has a wall that hides and reduce space, this wall forcing the viewer to realize certain walkthrough that reveals the richness and complexity of the spaces, the front of the main building is designed in accordance with its orientation, a floating slab and wall works as a curtain to protect the house east of the sun.
