Contemporary residential building offers views of the nature of big glass windows. Wild Bird House designed by DOP ARCHITECTURE and built in the area of 382 square meters and for a family of five. Shelter is located in Budapest, Hungary. Created to follow LEED principles, layered over two floors, external landscaping is fully supported by the water. The building is allegedly one of the first building in Hungary to perform LEED principles and has won the Hungarian magazine design Elevation OCTOGON’s of the Year Award in 2009. (more…)

This is a result of the renovation of cabin story with the design concept evolved into a small addition, replacing the previous exterior deck. Located on Vashon Island, Washington, USA. Vandeventer + Carlander Architects designed a concept design of a wooden box “insertion” that extends to the main structure. Created an open sliding door, large glass windows on the main floor as extending beyond the interior to entertain the residents. The number of spaces like the main bedroom, bathroom and kitchen is designed like a wooden box. (more…)
